Thank You All

Just wanted to say a quick hello, and many thanks to all those who took part on Sunday and came along to show support for the Sykes family. I was genuinely honoured to have played in the game, and I think it was testament to Syko that so many players were desperate to get on the pitch, and show how much they cared. I am sure Paul was proudly looking down with one of those huge Sykesy grins.

 

Personally I also wanted to say how wonderful it was to return to Hartsdown this weekend. It was great to see so many familiar faces, and so nice to reminisce some of the wonderful memories I shared with you all during my ‘Gate years. Obviously I have tremendous appreciation for Chris and what he did for me and the club, but I also know both Trotty and Mike Flanaghan well from my Gillingham days; both are great blokes for whom I have the utmost respect, and I’m sure they will both strive to get Margate moving onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed I’ll be back more often in the near future and see you all soon.
