Very good Ryan. Relating it back to MP - we have signs behind the goals saying no smoking. People have then been warned and have no argument if the stewards have a word with them for smoking. None of the above existed at Fisher in this instance.

I've read Tim's reply and it is in fact contradictory to what I was told by others last night. He seems not to have a problem although he sits up on the tanoy so doesn't have the best of views on terrace actions.

 

Elliot - I know my fans and for one to act like that it couldn't have been unprovoked and was probably in retaliation to other actions. Our fans don't look for trouble, they have tempers yes but we're all there to cheer on the lads first and foremost.

 

Anyway I'm now hearing mixed reports so I can not be certain of what happened as I wasn't there so I will distance myself from this. I apologise to the Chelmsford fans as it appears did not overstep what is acceptable....

 

I hope we can put this little episode in the past and go back to amicable relations going forward.

I'm proud of my team today, they were fantastic. They really had to dig deep last night in front of 2,000 hostile and intimidating Womble fans. There was no segregation so our support was lost in the crowd or stuck in the corner of the grandstand. There were flare's and everything. It really was something to see and a lot of teams would have buckled under the pressure but we stood firm and played some great stuff.

My major concern for Saturday is if the players lose focus and think the hard work is already done. They knew it was a back to the wall job last night but Saturday will be completely different. We're expected to win and start as favourites. Even Hampton fans are displaying a little gamesmanship saying Leroy will score a hatrick etc, it all makes me nervous.

Hopefully the manager and the Skipper will ensure the team stay focused and give Hampton the respect they deserve otherwise we could falture and after last night that would be a crying shame....
