Rang Vicky at the office yesterday, she said as of that moment no decision had been made.

Getting money into the club dont mean we have to have new shirts every season, for christ sake we are not Man U,give the fans a rest for at least a season,I think the Gate fans are without doubt the best fans around, but dont bleed them dry just because they love the club.

I am thinking of the poor sods that cant afford a new shirt every season, but would like to wear the same shirt they brought last season. There are other ways to Generate money. How much do you spend on a new shirt...keep it the same shirt, but if you spend say £35,then give the club £35.

Or sponsor a players shirt, and get the shirt at end of season.

Next season, i wonder if we could have other sponsership ideas.e.g

pay £1 per goal scored

Pay the club £10 every time a player scores two and we win.

Pay the club £10 for every clean sheet

I think to sponsor a player and get his shirt, home or away is one of the better ways,I have done this for a few years and belive me to meet that player on the day at the end of season is great to say the least,I have got a few shirts, the latest being a certain MR R Trott,Che Stadhart, and the best of all Phil Collins.

Goal sponsor is a good idea MM. Pay what you like- most will pay £1 but some may wish to pay 50p or £2. Have a page for contributers in the programme.

Shirt sponsors I think there will be the usual high level of interest in this and maybe this time in the programme it could be stipulated who sponsors the home and who sponsors the away shirt for each player.

Have a swear box on the terraces. £1 a time & the club would be made <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

As was suggested last season, why not have 1)sponsor the complete kit, 2) Sponsor either shirt or shorts, 4) Sponsor socks, could be one for the Kids say £5 per sock, 5) Sponsor the Keepers hat/gloves.

Well they have done over the last 5 years.

Have they really? I wasnt aware they had but then again I just see blue & white every year & am just glad to be seeing those colours in whatever shape or form they come in.I much prefer to concentrate on the playing staff rather than what they wear.I really dont think there is any need to change this present kit.It all looks good to me as it is.Its quite new so any expense for next season,I would like to see used on another decent player rather than a new shirt design.

I suggested it last season and think it is a way of raising money without any effort at all. I think the lack of a PR/fundraising executive is the main problem.

Players like to play in nice kits like ours this season as they like to show off more with them on and plus the fans will not be embarresed to wear them.

Personally I would like to see both kits remain the same apart from the collar. Would much prefer a round collar that is half as thin as the collar we have now. Preferably from the same material the blue line down the sleeves are made of. Looks smart and the players would probably prefer it.
