Presentation Evening

Whats all that about.....cancelled due to mix up over play-of dates !...what ?

Perhaps one of the Club Directors could clarify ?

Due to unforeseen circumstances it has been deemed necessary to postpone our Presentation Evening that was due to place Saturday 6th May.

 

We have a provisional date of 22nd July at the Wheatsheaf Pub which would coincide with our 5th Birthday, but this has yet to be confirmed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

If you know anyone who had planned to come along can you please let them know

A lack of time for those doing all the hard work to arrange everything properly while they still didn't know if it was on or not for sure?

Of course it is hard work and takes a lot of arranging.

I just don't understand why the late change has come about. Especially now as there is no game that day ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Isn't it better to let the dust settle on the season for a short period of reflection before the Presentation Evening. If the night was put on now the evening really would be a damp squib after yesterday’s result. The way I read the message, I took it to mean the confusion was caused by us being drawn into the play-offs at the late stage. Who knows, maybe Brimmo has had a booking from EFC that clashes with our date for the Presentation Night.

 

Suely we won't have to wait until the re-scheduled night to hear who has won Player of the Season?!

Just to clarify, it was put in the Wivenhoe matchday programme, on the "JETS" Page, that the Presentation was going to be postponed due to our involvement in the "Play Offs"

For those of you who do not know, it takes a lot or organising & setting up to run a Presentation Evening, and we, "the people that do", decided that it would be better to postpone the event sooner rather than later.

Just to clarify, one of the "Unforseen Circumstances" is due to the fact that our Dear Old Arky is quite unwell at the moment. Get well soon Old Bean.

Is there any more news regarding the presentation evening? As far as I'm aware there's been no mention of the player of the season award. Maybe we'll get some answers at tomorrow's noght at the Hollybush.
