Typical, our home form just has not good been good enough. What goes on when playing at home I just don't know. Are there problems within the club. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chat.gif" alt="" />

What a dissapointing game.Turned out exactly to script.Ie..We played poorly at home, without any composure and only came to life in very short spells AND we let in our usual goal in the last minute of the game.

 

Gutted!The last month has been a masterclass in how to throw promotion away.

Absolutely pitiful.

 

So, we go in front and then drop back and attempt to defend the lead for 80 mins. It was only the profligacy of Wivenhoe in front of goal which saw them equalise as late as they did. The buck stops with the management. They have been unable to motivate a side who have been in an automatic promotion position for half the season. We haven't played well since January and the forward line has been almost non-existent at times. Bryan Hammatt should never be an automatic selection.

 

ETFC need two quality strikers for next season - preferably one with a bit of height. JC, you've got the summer to find'em!

 

Rumour is there were concerns within the club about our ability to bring the ground up to standard if we were promoted as the financing may have been a problem. No need to worry any more.

yes i was at the game and was not impressed with the way they played.

 

also the crowd did not seem to be cheaearing a lot for enfield where i was seating.

 

lets hope we can do it again next session

mark nice to hear from you. To be honest with you except for the support it sums up our season. I know they said in the programme notes that jim doesnt deserve some of the stick hes got but thats for another play and time, but anyway im not convinced. I think we need to install some more winning spirit in the team because its really been lacking, I think if we did not have Aj at the back id be even more worried. I think some of our problems over this season is that weve let 1 or 2 important players go that we havent replaced and thats hurt us over the course of the season. I think that with the squad weve got we should have walked through this league as i havent really seen a team that id say worries me. Hopefully next season will be different but if the restructing goes as planned i think that this was our best chance this year. Anyway hope you enjoy the forum and take some of the stuff on here with a pinch of salt.
