No, but it does hold relevance. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> York were until relatively recently a league side, with a much greater fanbase than ours, but they don't have a roof on the away end either. Neither do Exeter for that matter.

The fact is that there's little point in investing in a roof for the Swanscombe end when the club is planning to move to a new ground in the next few years anyway.

Maybe your opinion of being tinpot and mind i guess are far differnt, is why you only went on about the roof and nothing else.I have been going to Stonebridge Road for over 40 years. Very little has changed at the ground other than the grass bank covered in concrete. The stand tidied up a little and is about it. Oh tannoy system. Other than that very little progress.
If your happy with that good luck to you.I cannot say I am.You can preach all you like about new stadiums!! but until I see them dig the first of the foundations I wont believe til it!!!Talk is cheap.
If your offered x amount of pounds to play for a club, one with a decent stadium and facilites and same amount to play for us.
I would suggest more of them will look upon us as a Tinpot side using your words and play for the club with the Stadium.
Anyway is nice that you can point out than we are at least now original, and there are very few of us in the whole of the footbal leauge that have a uncovered end.

You're right that players, and potential supporters for that matter, are more likely to be attracted to clubs with modern facilities. My use of 'tinpot' was in the confguide vein of ridiculing teams whose supporters have lots of flags. Apologies for the confusion. My point about the uncovered ends was simply that it isn't a trait of smaller Conference sides alone.
