Who to keep?

1) Charlie/Bechet(if not picked up.) ? both injury prone and DB seems Gradlyesk in recovery time. Paul Egan i would put into the reserves for the season to give him a run , no doubt he would get a run before the season was out.

2) Robin Trott, Donovan if he can loose a few pound and gain more fitness, Give Greg Oates another season (as Donovan), new left back and central defender (preferably with some height.

3)Hasim Deen, Laurence Yiga, Young Osman, (another summer of training on his back as with LY, remember how raw young Sam Sodje was), Berti, attacking midfielder out on the left side with the ball at his feet instead of trying to catch the long ball. Protheroe and King John would be the other 2.

4) Danny hockton and 2 others up with him fighting each other for there place as his partner. plus hopefully one or two of the reserves will push for contention. NO, NO, NO to Mo Tako, i do not think the budget would be big enough for his ego.

That's 16 + the reserves to pull at then see what September brings.

Trotty has a plan for the way he wants to play next season. Plus he has said he has some players in mind that he wants to bring in. Plus he has played with all our players for a time and knows their strengths and weaknesses, and also whether they fit in with his plans for next season.

I am very happy to leave the rest to him - my opinions on who he should keep or let go are pretty irrelevant.

At the end of the day whoever wears the blue next year will get my unqualified support.

Support who ever goes with out saying June. All i ask is player wise we supporters in our deliberations look forward and not back to those who have been here before.

I admire you MF for your stance. I have every faith that Trotty will make all the correct decisions. After all he knows the players better than I do. It was just meant to provoke a bit of discussion and give us all a chance to "play manager" as we often like to.

There's no problem from me on that score, GW.

We all think we are Ron managers, and I am no exception. I have been mulling over the various permutations almost since the final wihistle, if not the official Trott announcement. And anyway, most of you know me well enough by now to make a pretty accurate guess as to whom I would retain!

But I think the really interesting thing is what is going on in Trotty's head right now. I would bet he has been on the phone already.

I cannot wait for the first pre-season.

But I would, of course, definitely, keep Deano and Gradley.

You do NOT want Tako- overweight and greedy. JW very rarely turns young, local players away but he turned Mo away for the two reasons given.

I thought Tako went because he was offered more dosh.Surely he was tempted away rather than turned away.I seem to recall that when Mo was with you you couldnt praise him enough or shove him & his goals(in an inferior league) down out throats.

Hopefully the full squad will be announced long before we reach pre-season friendlies?

Will be interesting to see if RT can pull us some pre-season matches against some conference teams, just to whet our appetite & get the team working hard?

I imagine your right too MF Rt I bet is running up a hell of a phone bill, hopefully signing LP for us.

Stevenage might be a possibility. Just think with Flanners links with Millwall too we could get them down to Hartsdown again. You never know. I think it is a cert that Trotty has been on the blower. Very exciting not knowing who he could be lining up and we will just have to wait to read in the paper, on the site or see in the flesh.

I guess its all on the players we could get in, being better than our current crop.

At the moment, i feel we need a new keeper and striker, although, I confess i havent seen Egan in action.

I want to see everyone stay being honest, i'm not sure there is a weak player in the squad.

2 good quality midfielders ,possibly 3

2 quality strikers

get rid of yiga, dont care if he is contracted, he is useless,i jus dont see what qualities he gives the team.

Lee is good enough to play in the Con S but he prefers to be a big fish in a small pond. On both occasions, we have played Dover this season he has had a confrontation with the Wards and in both games he walked around kicking people. Trotty would not be able to control him either
