will do ian <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> my dad seems to think that he must be getting desperate for votes if he personally has to go around knocking on peoples doors asking if they have decided who to vote for, especially after all the leaflets hes got out there with his name on!

I personally think that any councillor wanted to get elected or re-elected should always spend time going round door knocking in their ward to speak with the people who will be voting for them. That said, in the Farnham ward, we've had no door visits, but leaflets from the Conservatives, Liberals and an Independant, none of which mentioned the club.

only the labour one has mentioned our club so far.

he cant have gone to every house on my street theres about 40 of them, ours is more or less in the middle, but he seemed to disappear after 5-10 minutes after coming to our door.

All candidates know people's voting preferences and will target those houses they feel are "at risk". The thing I've found is they don't like being challenged. If you're willing to stand there and listen to the issues that they want to talk about they are quite happy, but when you press them or ask them about an issue they have no knowledge of (i.e. STFC) they squirm. You should try it, it's fun!

Apologies to our local Conservative candidate, but I don't give a stuff if they build houses all over Castleview. In fact, if they do, can you let me know as I'll have a chat with the builders as our drive could do with resurfacing!
