This last season

It was a season of varying emotions, was the pitch going to be ready?. Was Ivan actually going to do any work?. Were we going to get a team together in time?. The great crowd and our 1st victory on that memorable day. The many frustrations that followed and the few highs(fisher games )when we thought our season was going to kick start. The signing of Bertie, the emergence of a very young sessay and Hasim Deen. The arrival of Danny Hockton followed by Robin (Trotty ) Trott. Hope again with the good run then near despair with the performances that followed. The suspension of the Management team, though always a sad affair in hind sight it turned into a courages and right decision. The last 5 games or so when Trotties and Mike Flanagan's influence as seen us safe and in some style And finally to yesterday evening and the atmosphere in the club house along with the announcement of Trottie as the new leader. All i have left to say is, it's been great to share it all with you the Gates TRUE BLUE supporters. God save last season, God Bless the new one and all thoughs players, fans, officials who wear the blue close to there hearts next season. PS, I took Veaney home last evening, i was surprised he not that bad in daylight and he's not got Horns.

To be honest i think it was a good season for Margate. The problem was that people had high expectations of Margate this when in truth it was going to be a season of rebuilding and it could have been worse then it ended. We must now leave the past under Kinnear and look forward to what is going to be a successful era under the new manager. Well don Gate!

The irony is that when CK departed we were on 39 points and 1 would have saved us. However, we are now all looking forward to a better brighter future than those dark days of winter.
