MANIC!!!

What an incredible match it had everything. Fortunately most was savoury but a small amount was not.

Get the unsavoury bit out of the way.

Who were those idiots berating and cajouling the marvellous hendon contingent. I walked down the bottom end before half time to say well done for being 2-0 up and they had already got themselves involved then. What followed when we were 3-2 up was unnecessary. I'm glad one steward saw it and put a semi stop to it. IDIOTS. And to think we have been relegated twice!!!!!!!!!

Great weather with no hartsdown gale, sun out, good crowd. Good to start with then.

Who could believe the first 15 minutes. Hendon in front and they had a goal disallowed. We smack the crossbar three times one cleared off the line. Seagulls attack a crow. Then total domination from us and they score again from an Oatsy mess up.

0-2 down at the break. Oh and i forgot to say hendon had a blatent penalty turned down near the break. i could not believe the ref did not give it.

First ten minutes of the second half Hendon on top again. Shock horror Bechet drops the ball and the hendon player has the goal at his mercy and slices it. That would have been a killer.

Three minutes later its 2-2. Some excellent work by Sesay just keeping the ball in play aweful defending goal. Another cross goal. I'll leave the player scores to Chris 1.

Then hendon score, their manager is on the pitch leaping up and down. late flag off side. Manager goes mad at everybody. Glad there was no 4th official.

Shock horor for hendon we score a bizarre bobbly goal in slow motion. Goalie throws his hat in goal. Arguements et all. Then to crown it all Provs delivers the coup de gras what a bender. This boy is class. Oh then the chavs spoil it again and somehow its all over.

Pesentations. Kids playing in goal and a 5 year old copies lee protheroe and it sails in the corner. Hendon slope away and i feel gutted for them. If they had gone 2-o down early on it would not have seemed so bad.

What a day. It could have been 5-5 easily or any score really. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Superb report Geoff. I don't do player ratings for home matches as most fans will have formed their own opinions. Also it would be a bit mean to mark someone down after such a brilliant game and end to the season.

I thought Gradley played well, as did Protheroe who truly deserved his goal. Danny devastating as ever. My MOM (again) would be Keister, because it was when he moved higher up the pitch in the second half we suddenly looked more dangerous. I think he played a part in the build-up to all 4. Not expecting everyone to agree with me!

Nice to see Bertie and his little lad being part of proceedings before and after the game.

Shame about the chavs. The stewards will have to nip that in the bud next season before we start getting a bad reputation.

There is also an excellent witty report from the opponents' perspective copied on to the thread 'Report from a Hendon fan'.
