Well we lost - So, firstly all the best to Hampton. It has been a long season, and like all non league clubs we have experienced highs and lows. But, i just wanna say i have really enjoyed it. So thanks to ALL connected with "our" club, be it players, management, officials, friends, senior delegates, and to "us" supporters.

 

Heads up ALL. And once again THANKYOU !

Keith... Win some lose some...Its only a game tongue

 

great support today. even better to see at the end of the game the applause the players got...and in the bar, i was one of the first in, and saw so many blues chatting...non abusive, chatting to the hampton fans, each other, and generally drinking and smiling, of course were dissapointed. MATT JONES HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB!!! as has everytone involved in the club.

 

Great club, great tea, great staff, great fans,

Too true. Been a great end to the season. Who'd have thought that we'd have interest right up to the last game. Good luck to Fisher in the play-offs, but I think AFC at Dulwich may be a problem. Shame Nathan had to go off today. Seemed to be a turning point in the game. But plenty to look forward to next season.

Now, how about that cricket! Six hundred and what?

good day out for us neutrals and a shame for you guys today but after nathan went off the pattern of play changed against you...but the season has been a good one for ricay....and loads to look forward to next year...(ask sydney where you'll finish in the league next year <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)...

 

nice to see old pals today and thanks for making me nett and mum welcome....great atmosphere and bloody good crowd as well...must have been well over a 1,000...

Disappointing day of course, but it was always a long shot and we just missed out. Thought we could do it in the first half, but second half we looked tired. As Simon said, Nathan off was the turning point, we missed his energy, and we had to switch to 4-5-1 which pushed us back, made us more defensive, and since we couldnt keep possesion it was always likely theyd score.

 

Fairly play to Hamtpon, good luck to them in the play offs, but i think Fisher will do it.

 

Cheers to Matt and all the guys for a fun season. Players, backroom staff and all the people who work for the club week in week out with little reward or thanks. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Jim, we do get our reward. The reward is being part of a club that we love and seeing all those people (1,020, yesterday) enjoying themselves...What greater reward is there?

Alas it 'twas not to be. Hampton deserved the victory, but we can all stand tall and rightly proud of what the management and players have achieved since the start of the year. We're a far better side now than the one that started the campaign. Bring on Canvey City!
