Confusion

Had a quick look on the Weymouth Message Board and both City and the League seem to coming in for a bit of stick.

 

According to the Observer, City raised the objection about Soloman Taiwo. Would Weymouth (or any other club) have acted differently if the roles were reversed.

 

From Weymouth's perspective, why are they criticising the League? The outcome of that meeting on Thursday remains a mystery other than Maidenhead seem to have been charged and accepted their points deduction. The Weymouth situation remains unclear. The League don't appear to have made any announcement. Weymouth Officials seem to have put an 'interesting' interpretation on the situation. In short the League and Weymouth seem to be sweeping the issue under the carpet in the hope that Weymouth win against Lewes today and secure the Championship.

 

As things stand, Weymouth are putting their spin on the situation and the League are covering their own backs, whilst seeming to favour Weymouth which cannot be acceptable. Why has no announcement been made?

 

Weymouth seem to be trying to deflect the fact that they need to win today. If I was a Weymouth fan, I would be quite annoyed with the way that their Officials seem to be trying to gloss over the situation.

 

Everyone that I spoke to all week knew what the situation would be at 3 O'Clock today. Weymouth 'seem' to have breached a regulation (however stupid a rule it is) but the issue has been totally fudged by the League.

 

I imagine that both teams will win today and hope that we win the play-offs next weekend.
