It’s nearly here! A year in the making, we are delighted to confirm the details of this special day on Sunday. Gates open at 1pm with the SYKO “JUNIOR” CHELLENGE kicking off at 1.30pm. This is a challenge match between Margate and the club that Paul was once part of the youth coaching team of in Dover – St Margarets.

Then, following the introduction of the players and a “tribute to Syko”, the SYKO CHALLENGE will kick-off at 3pm. At half time, we have some surprise entertainment for you. I’ll not say too much for now, but it will involve a penalty spot and two groups of people with plenty to say for themselves … usually!

During the afternoon, you will also be able to bid on the items available in our auction. You can bid on line (see the item on this site) and you will also be able to place a bid during the afternoon – listen for announcements for details. In addition, there will be a prize draw. You will be able to by tickets up to half time, with the draw made just after the final whistle.

We would like to acknowledge the support of our Sponsors: THE GSE GROUP, BBC RADIO KENT, THE KCFA, SHARP PRINTING SERVICES, www.KENTISHFOOTBALL.CO.UK MARGATE FC; THE MARGATE AMBULANCE CORPS; GILLINGHAM FC INDEPENDENT SUPPORTERS CLUB; FOLKESTONE INVICTA FC SUPPORTERS CLUB

And, the players and officials taking part all of whom are giving up their Sunday free of charge…

Entry to the SYKO CHALLENGE is £5 for adults, £1 under 16s with souvenir programmes available at £2 each.

We’ve got the support from the clubs and players… now “all” we need is yours… and of course the weather!

Well Done Greenie. Wondered when you were going to "push" this being tomorrow. How about you doing the same as this on the other local forums,Ramsgate,Dover,Folkestone,Gravesend,

Welling,Herne Bay etc, other locals too. Plus a "push" on the Ryman League Forum. It might help too!

Hope it all goes well for tomorrow. Am sure it will.Well done to both yourself & to Wellsie for making this come about.

Cookie is your capacity 2000? If so, i am worried that some fans may get turned away. Their are about 50 Ramsgateoanians that i know are Definetly attending and i guess their will be many people who live in Thanet attending just to give money to the good cause. Then we should be expecting 800 or so Margate fans..... we are allready well above a ONE grand.

Who knows. We shall just have to wait & see wont we. Yes, I do believe the capacity is 2000 so if you or your mates are coming along might I suggest you arrive early to save being turned away if indeed that ends up to be the outcome of overspillage.

What about Folkestone? IMO the chosen date is a good one. Being at the end of the season means that many people will go who maybe would not have just becuase they are going to be without football for the next 6weeks. (apart from that tournament in June, wahts it called again?).
