Yup.

0-0 when he was sent off on 35 mins.

We didn't have a worthwhile attack until about 40 mins, just after LD was sent off.

2-1 at 80 mins.

We then got tired/sloppy/usual couldn't kill game off in last 10 mins.

Extra time is history. we NEVER win in extra time, because we are simply not good enough.

At least AK was giving encouragement to the lads last night, without resorting to the usual torrent of verbals normally coming from the bench.

 

Or more simplistically than that, did we play worse after LD was sent off? No.

Did we play the same? No.

Did we get to a winning position, before throwing it away? Yes.

On this basis, we did play better after LD was sent off.

Very unfair CG.

 

Apart from the last 10 minutes of extra time I stood to the right of the Fleet dugout throughout last night. Alot nearer the dugout than you I believe. While he was around, not once did I hear LD berate the players, I did hear him continuingly encouraging the defence to keep their shape and particularly young Mr. Glozier though.

 

As you said AK did his bit as well, it couldn't have been easy for him given the circumstances. I think I spotted some discreet use of a mobile phone by AK after 'Slats' scored so perhaps LD was there all along !

Daish was lurking over by the tunnel after he got sent off so it's possible some sort of communication was in place.
