Cup Final - lack of publicity.

Almost nothing on the official site advertising the game, nothing on RK - although I am going to ring them now to get the game a mention at 13:20.

Hopefully we may get 200 travelling to what is our only chance to celebrate this year.

I had to delve fairly deeply into the official site to find the game - obviously not taking the game too seriously.

A) because the game is a "reserve" game.

Players are no longer playing for new contracts as LD has probably already made up his mind.

C) The result is less important than resting the players ready for Saturday.

Hi Chatham Gary. It's a bit disengenius for Jamie to say RK didn't know about it. I think it may be more a case of Jamie not knowing about it. The Sports Editor Matt Davison knows because we have discussed it(RK will not be covering the game) and in my interviews with Liam Daish and Ross Smith at Morecambe we discussed it and both have been broadcast on air, with Ross's comments being repeated on Tuesdday. See you all there tonight - I'm off duty so it's back to the halfway line for me!!

I'd like to think, now that Football League Trophy qualification is impossible, that this isn't the case. Surely a cup final, however minor it is, is more significant than a largely meaningless league fixture?

I agree, JC, but will those players who suspect they may not be retained give it their all?

I would like to think they will , but one couldn't be too harsh if tonite, Saturday & Monday was their swansong.
