What is it that makes people say "well they are an English club so I want them to win it?"

 

Well I would like to go on record as saying that I consider Arsenal the footballing equivalant of a child molester and I for one hope that Ronaldinho and Barcelona humiliate them in the final and give them the pasting these Gooner scum so richly deserve. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

That is another thing about Canvey fans that I have always liked, very few support the [****!!****] but then again very few decent people do if they have any sense. They are predominently followed (and I emphasise the word followed) by Sky Sports types who would never dream of going to Highbury (or attempting to even try to get tickets) but are always first up to buy the latest shirt, tee shirt etc. to prove their loyalty to "their club" - or so they think.

Arsenal fans are invariably mouthy types who (although they do not go to matches) try to put fans of other clubs down with their constant crowing about recent successes. It is only when they open their mouths that you realise how stupid they are and how little they actually know about football that they confirm that the laugh is really on them for the undoubted stupidity they never fail to display.

Yes I hate them and just like when Nayim lobbed Seaman in that ECWC Final a few years ago, I am sure they will be crying their eyes out in Paris and they won't be tears of joy either.

by the way,i consider west ham a sh1t club and i consider leo a knob,but nothing changes the fact that love them or hate them the gooners are going to paris

Thanks MOB for those kind words, they are appreciated. I will remember those sentiments when I have "defected to Grays" next season & I am (according to Chalky Boy & yourself) cheering on Stimmo's Army in the football league.

 

They will undoubtedly still stir the same emotions in me I feel at this very moment, very humble to have finally been paid a compliment by such a noble, knowledgable gentleman as yourself.

It could almost be said Sir, I have arrived at last...

I follow Spurs so I obviously want Arsenal to lose, but Villareal got what they deserved for diving all over the place - nothing. Football rivalry is one thing but if teams like Villareal win the thing football would become a joke.

I support Arsenal, but If I had a Choice between going to see Arsenal Or Canvey, I would pick Canvey Everytime.

Don’t know what it is but whenever I see an English club in Europe, 99% of the time I will hope the English club comes through. Even though we have elements creeping into our game, I just find the continental’s play so cynical that it puts me off them.

 

Surely, you couldn’t fail to will Liverpool on when they started that comeback in last seasons European final.

 

This season, I quite enjoyed watching Chelsea go out however not only because the most exciting player in the world plays for Barca, but because of Chelsea’s reason for being in the press at the time through all the cheating diving. Best bit was seeing that West Ham badge on the Barca flag behind the goal!

 

Got this interesting scenario now where Arsenal could take Spurs possible champion league place if they win the final. Could be done as Barca/AC could see their match as the final already!

 

However, the most important game comes on 13th May.

Come on you IRONS!!!
