Am I right in thinking

that on May 11 the FA will announce what is going to happen to the clubs still left in the ESL as part of the Step 5 reorganisation and what almalgamation is planned.

 

Otherwise we're down to 15 clubs again if Hornchurch, Abbey and a third club are promoted and only Clapton and a Southern East club join us.

 

I understood that the FA had said that they would like all step 5 leagues to have 20 teams!!!!!!

 

Any thoughts, theories or inside knowledge?

I think that the FA will allocate geographically, so if you're in Essex you should play in the Essex Senior League.

There has been a strong rumour floating around for sometime regarding an amalgamation of some Essex League and Kent League teams into one new step 5 by 20 team league.

 

Would have thought that everyone would have been aware of this one.

no mate. tiptree are ridgeons. the kent league is teams like herne bay, maidstone united and vcd athletic.

well white ensign have been trying to get into the league for a few years but their ground is council owned so they have struggled. who knows mate. there are always rumous this time of year.

Well, that would hack them off big time as they had to play friendlies for season 2002/3 after theyt resigned from the ESL wanting to play in the ECL.
