SACFC in St Albans Museum?

Recommended Posts

There's a great exhibition in St Albans museum, showing photos from the St Albans Review from the 70s and 80s. One of the first big pictures you see is 'St Albans Football Club' in a communal bath drinking beer. Has anyone seen it? Is this St Albans City FC and are there any famous players shown? It's a bit before my time you see, as I was a northener in the 70s and 80s!!

Are you sure that it wasn't earlier then 1985? My brother used to play in a band called The Innocent Vicars and they played a 24 hour gig in the church to raise funds for a youth club which was based there. I'm sure their gig was a couple of weeks before the place burned down. He was in the band late 70's early 80's if I remember rightly.

He was paid off by the developers of the Christopher Place Shopping Centre, allegedly, and if he did the same on the site of Sainsburys, he's probably living in happy retirement in Barbados.

Silver? Golden, more like.
