Do you mean the original Chingford Town with Johnny Bays at Right Back, who once had a side in the Southern League and then took over Parkhill FC to play in the Metropolitan London League and played at Newgate Street. The problem with the ground was that the boundary of two different councils went down the middle of the pitch... one council was pro football the other , not and confusion reigned. It was also subject to vandalism and the stand and clubhouse, If I recall, it ended up being burned down. No doubt the land/ ground still exists . A Chingford have also played at Town Mead near to Abbey's ground in recent times. Happy memories and, sadly another true Essex side that missed the joys of the ESL !

Yes thats the Chingford Town Fc, i think they to folded this Year coz of lack of finances and Players.

 

They to should reform, they once had a crowd of 5000 over there to watch a fa amateur Cup game.
