Hendon have to win

Next weeks game is going to be a bit more difficult then expected as if Hendon lose then they will get relegated as Wakefeild and Emley (Unibond) are on 41 points, Northwood (Southern) are on 41 points and Hendon are only on 39 so at least it wont be a boring a game as one team will have something to fight for and RT wants the job.

Yes Tony its just between Hendon (39+1game), Northwood (41+1game) and Radcliffe (38+2games), Bradford PA (39+1game), Wakefield & Emley (41+2games), Lincoln United (41+1game). As both 4 bottom sides in Unibond & Southern are on 41 points at the moment Hendon must win or they are down. If they win then any of the teams mentioned could go.

Hendon can only stay up if they beat us and either Northwood or Lincoln United lose.

However, as stated earlier in this thread we have to play to the best of our ability and when Hendon do not win then as a result of all thier other results this season they will get relegated.

As far as I can see Darren Watson is still at Hendon and he made his last apperance on 25th March.

A Northwood draw/Hendon win would also see them relegated - both sides on 42 points and ourselves having the better goal difference. Not really worth us worrying about that tho. The important thing is we've gotta get all three points.

Just a few weeks ago we were possibly looking at this game as a deciding factor to whoever stayed up,with us being involved in that.Whilst the situation has changed somewhat I see no reason why we should take the game any differently,& the attitude should be as would have been should that situation have come about. Am sure that Trotty would also like to end up his short time in his new post by getting a good result, especially to a nil deficit.A fine round off to his newly acquired managerial post and possible future long term engagement with us,especially after having learned about the Welling/Protheroe possibility. Am sure thats exactly what the guys will be doing & am sure thats exactly what Trotty will want from the players.Full commitment,as has been in the games he has been in charge of since CKs departure.

Seems now with the Welling inclusion i.e.Protheroe,it has some meaning to all of us after all. Be nice to end the season on a high.....for us to maintain the form of late, for Trotty to get his deserved rewards, for us to then hopefully keep hold of Lee.It now seems that there is more than one or two reasons now riding on this result for us to be looking for a positive result after all.I am also sure we will get it too!

It will be a professional and impressive performance if RT can motivate everyone to be 'up for this game',and as above post says, do not concede the nil again.

The real challenge is, can RT emulate the last game of season 3 seasons ago against another side relegated that season.

who remembers Stalybridge.

Unfortunately, i was not there that day

I know they were already down. Boy were they bad. I felt sorry for their four fans and one dog. They brought a massive flag half the size of the coffin end and were 4 down after about half an hour. Their goalie let one slip through his hands early on and that was it help yourself. Beatiful physio though. Only 600 odd their was a shame for such agreat season. Might match that figure on sat but not the scoreline.! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/achso.gif" alt="" />

Darren is out on loan apparently to Kingsbury town fc according to their fans.So we wont be seeing him on Saturday. Shame, would have been nice to see him again.
