Margate - Boxing Day

Does anybody know what time kick-off is on Boxing Day. Just having to juggle the logistics of a visit to the mighty Fleet with a trip to see the wife's Aunt Hilda down in Eastbourne - basically I am after a 3pm KO, that way I can tell her where to stick it.

Sorry to break my vow of silence but the seriousness of the situation does warrant it.....

Noon Kick Off ???.......Questions have to be asked !

Like......

What time will the bar be open ?? Plans have to be made !! Like what time to leave home as I doubt there will be any public transport....and I am not paying loads of wedge to a licenced bandit in a Taxi on Boxing day !....some sort of hip flask ( or barrel !) may be in order ?

cheers !

I feel I must protest at the above messages concerning lack of trains on Boxing Day.

This is a very thinly veiled attack on Connex South East which is completely unfair and unwarranted. Connex cannot help the poor service they run as it is something to do with them being French.

You should be like me dear boy and pine for the good old days of steam, when the trains ran faster and on time. When you could go to a match, buy a programme, have a pint of beer before and after the game and still have change from a crisp five pound note to buy a top shelf magazine on the way home.

On you struggle to a game by what ever method you can, find the local pubs and bars shut for fear of violence and discover that WH Smiths have removed their publications of an adult nature. Ah well back to the wife...

Well, after my experience on 1st Great Western the other day, I think Connex are positively wonderful. 1st Great Western allowed everyone to board the train from Bristol to London and then when it was due to leave, announced that they had put everyone in the wrong part of the train, so all had to move from the rear coaches to the front. Apparently, this was due to a "slight miscalculation" - more like a total co*k up !!
