Oystermen could clinch 3rd spot today in the Kent League and could be promoted to Ryman 1. They need top of the table Beckenham to beat Erith & Belvedere (4th), Thamesmead (3rd) to lose against Hythe, and will need to beat midtable Tunbridge Wells themselves. Although if Whitstable win by four goals at Tunbridge Wells then a draw in the other two would be ok.

I think it can only be a positive that the Ryman has lots of kent teams in it.

 

Hopefully though in 2007/8 there will be one less when Margate get back in Conference south.

 

Personally, i'd like to see margate in Southern league as it is a weaker league than the ryman, and for selfish reasons there are more games towards the west of England
