Out of pure interest does anyone know:

 

Why did Bromley and not ourselves get to host the Final? Did we lose the toss of the coin or something?

 

Why the Game couldn't have been played on the Bank Holiday Monday rather than a Midweek Thursday date? (I appreciate we now have Skins testimonial pencilled in).

 

Reason for second question is, working in London its easier enough to get to the game but getting back to Gravesend from Bromley South station appears to involve travelling to Rochester and then coming back to Gravesend with up too 3 changes.

 

Did the Kent FA even consider the fans when booking this in for a Thursday evening? It gives the impression the organisers couldn't really give a monkey's about the competition, which is a shame because its our only chance of silverware this season and the Kent FA seem to have made it as difficult as possible for us to attend.

 

It will be interesting to see what the attendance is for the game.

Apparently we asked for it to be scheduled on the Thursday - something to do with players contracts being up immediately after the Burton game.

That makes life far more simpler - thanks for the info FleetFanatic.

 

Jimmy's comment is also an interesting 1 too then - so apart from the 2/3 full-time contracted players we have, the Club shouldn't be laying out too much in terms of wages over the Summer break.

And with no LDV trophy place until at least the season 07/08, it seems a little pointless rushing through the installation of the seating behind the goal - especially as only about 50 of them would probably be used.

Would it be better to fund a couple of new players?

y dont u get a bus to meopham, or longfield, the train stations there go straight to bromey south...

Buses don't run THAT late to Meopham / Longfield.

 

They used to finish about 7pm when I lived in Longfield years ago.

no im sure they run later than that! cant really check the time table as im in canterbury, but im sure its on the web some where, jst an idea, makes more sense than going back to rochester.
