Skins testimonial

Recommended Posts

If anyone ever deserved a good turnout for their testimonial its Skins, I'll be there who else is going?

Interesting to see that Mark Bentley is one of the names penciled in for Skins testimonial, with Southend going for their second promotion in two seasons Benno might be surplus to requirements at roots hall next season.

I have ordered a Skins "We are not worthy" t-shirt from the Clubshop and will definitely be there too. An excellent long-serving servant of G&NFC, he deserves a good turnout. Time for all the lapsed Fleet fans to finally discard their apathy!

Just pray he gets a 1000+ crowd.
Cannot forget how sad it was that only 400 turned up for Andy Ford's testamonial.

Can't see it though, Gary. If only 400 bothered for Andy, I fear the laziness bug and general apathy about turning up for even first-team games will mean a low crowd.

Sadly I agree with you Stu. The only way you would get our erstwhile fairweather fans out of their armchairs for this match is if we were to provide them with complimentary door to door travel, free entry and the opposition being a top Premiership side. Even then many of them probably wouldn't bother! Hopefully the faithful will still turn up.

I was all ready to go on the Mayday Run (motorbikes, not running!) to Hastings to terrorise grannies on the Sussex seafront but I think Skin's testimonial seems like a must-go. If I'm a bit throttle-happy I might even make both providing the bugger doesn't break down again. Tearing up a few Mods riding Vespa hairdryers does seem very tempting, though!
