[Margate Football Club]

The Club is pleased to announce that Darren Bechet has agreed to keep goal for the remaining two games of this Season.

 

Charlie Mitten has injured ham string and will be unable play for the rest of the Season.

Thats pretty good news. With no offence meant to Mitten, I prefer Bechet in goal. Its a pity that Mitten keeps getting injured. Hopefully he'll get over this injury and come back better than ever for the start of next season.

Very good news although I wasnt all that concerned should we have played the youth keeper. I dont think Behcet will be called into action much tomorrow. Would be nice if the young lad was still involved and possibly signed on as third choice next season in case of injury.

In a week of points deductions though, i am sure paperwork was done in time,as whilst i am guessing, i imagine that Bechet has to be resigned.

 

Don't want to find that we end up fielding an ineligible player and having points deductions !!

It will be playing on my mind now. But I would think he was registered with us for the season. More of a signing til the summer than a loan.

Six maximum i guess in the unlikely event that Bechet paperwork not done properly, but if Hendon .Northwood and Lincoln all were to win, that would still be fatal.

 

You can bet though that all clubs`are now `checking everyone else's records to see if there is any chance of an ineligible player playing for anyone at anytime !!

 

Its silly season.

That youth keeper is called jack Crawford if you didn't know he is 17 years old and he goes to my school (hartsdown tech) in six form and he plays for the margate 18's and when i play footie with him he is really good

If he was the young guy between the posts on the 2 occasions i have seen the U18s then he should be ok. Pulled of good saves, patrols the box and is not afraid to give a piece of his mind.
