I seem to remember that when Spurs got done for financial irregularities their initial punishment was a 12 point deduction, a ban from the FA Cup and a fine. When it became apparent that this might relegate them and would prevent them winning the Cup when the year ended in one the punishment was reduced on appeal to £250,000. Small fry for a big club.

 

Of course when Swindon were found guilty they were demoted.

 

I can at least understand the logic behind this punishment but it seems incredibly harsh given that he was not responsible for all 18 points they accrued.

I would like to point out to some of you, that Altrincham were one of the teams that voted us out of the Conference fot not having 19 seats, so f*** then.

I was reading the Conference forum quickly earlier and saw someone make mention of this - they said Gateshead were also in on the act of reporting us and Farnborough for not having enough seats. Apparently Farnborough did install the seats, and as we all know, we didn't.

This time round, it's Forest Green Rovers who have (apparently) reported Altrincham to the FA. Hardly surprising if it's true, given that they are currently bottom and hoping for another reprieve.

going back to the point, did Altricham at no point actually go and bother to check theplayer's registration details? I highly doubt it. For also choosing a trip to Telford rather than us and booting us out of the Conference f*ck them.

Be intersting to see if this case has an effect on Windsor/Maidenhead/Chesham and Weymouth as well.

 

Windsor's Soloman Taiwo (I think) is also banned from playing for something similar as mentioned in today's Observer.

Windsor and Chesham aren't governed by Conference rules so shouldn't be in as much [****!!****]. Besides which, they are both relegated already.

Given that Altrincham were not in the Conference the year Slough were demoted, I would be interested to know how it was they voted against you.
