On the Arsenal-Spurs game... Wenger had absolutely zero justification for his toys-throwing exhibition yesterday. Perhaps he should teach his players to play to the whistle rather than stand still and then bully the nearest opposing player after they've let a goal in.

Not a thing wrong with the Spurs goal... and I'm not a Spurs fan.

When Arsenal played Sheff. Utd. in the FA cup the other year he said (not offical quoting here) "If the referee doesn't blow his whistle you can play on."
The case I am of course refering to is when Sheff. Utd. had two players down and Arsenal scored!

Couldn't give a **** about Sheff U ! Looking forward to them losing all their games 5-0 next season & Wenger/Mourinho/Ferguson ( or whoever ) lamping w*nker Warnock at some stage. No more than the a*sehole deserves !!

But in that case hadn't the ball gone out of play and Arsenal didn't give it back? IN this case, the ball was still in play and Spurs had every right to carry on... despite what that old woman Wenger claimed.

There are two similar examples in recent years of this in games between Arsenal and Sheffield United, and I'm not sure which one superb is referring to. In 1999 in the FA Cup fourth or fifth round (I can't remember which), Overmars took a throw-in for Arsenal after the Blades had put the ball out of play to allow treatment to an injured player, and Kanu, rather than returning the ball to the opposition, set up Overmars to score. Then, a few years later in the FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford, Graham Poll waved play on when a Blades player was down, and moments later Ljungberg scored what proved to be the winning goal.

In Wenger's defence (although he is wrong about Saturday's goal), he did of course offer to replay the tie in the former example.

Only as a result of the huge reaction against Arsenal after the match though, the decent thing to do of course would have been to let Sheffield walk the ball into an empty net direct from the kick off to cancel out the goal.

Can't believe the mods haven't locked or deleted this thread, as it is no longer Fleet related! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Try going on other forums, there subjects are far more diverse, than we have on here. They trade friendly banter etc yes that was FRIENDLY.
Are you afraid of learning something new or different??? Maybe just maybe by watching and listen to others views, no matter how diverse they are.
That this forum, plus our club may learn things and change our ways, and maybe not make the sort of mistakes other clubs have made this season.
Our club is G&NFC yes,but we are far from perfect. So to discuss wider issue I think is important dont you ? Plus a bit of friendly banter raises morale, and helps everyone gel. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alk.gif" alt="" />

Nope! In the past if it isn't Fleet related the "mod who is god" padlocks or deletes the thread! I guess this one was changed from the original thread by one of his buddies!

As you are a relative "newbie", i'll let you off! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

OK let's have a bit of off-topic banter and discuss why AFF is an absolute knob with a chip on his shoulder?

Mod or not, I don't have to put up with your usual veiled attacks.
