Do the club have other options than putting 500 seats in.

The reason I ask, is whether we will get value for money, as the main reason appears to be to enable us to take part in the LDV trophy (or something similar).

Firstly we have to qualify, as we have already experienced, not a simple task.

Secondly, having qualified, we would need home draws to reap the benefit. Only a 50/50 chance.

Thirdly, we would need to get at least 2 home games in each year to make it worthwhile.

As a lower echelon team, would we have realistic amibitions to make a real impact, given our previous history in the FA cup and Trophy?

 

At best we might get 5 or 6 home games in the LDV over the next 5 years at Stonebridge Road - hardly a great money spinner.

 

I would personally just like the terrace relaid to a standard and size that satisfies the Fire/safety people., given our air is to get a new ground sooner rather than later.

Love to relive a day like halifax in the plough end which, wont happen soon, or the packed out game like canvey...

Am i right in thinking that a potential sponsor can re-name the stand, I thought I read about that as a potential sponsorship opppurtunity next year?

Without me having to look it up anywhere,anyone know how many, the main wooden stand, holds at the moment, as I am trying to figure out how much room 500 hundred seats will take up,In my minds eye that is.and will it leave standing room as well.

As it was stated somewhere it would cost more to convert to standing only than a seating area I seem to remember.

Or will we still have ugly taped off areas???

Is the standing room if any,to be behind the seating,or to the sides,or even infront lol. Anyone seen any plans?????

Would I be right in assuming they have to be shown to public for objections etc like anyone else.

I am also really suprised the club has not put the plans on there offical web site !!!! just to keep punters up todate.

Or even in the local newspapers to show people in the surrounding area that the club is trying to improve the Ground and facilities.

The point it was forced on them for safety reasons is irrelevant.

I'd hope we do put a little standing area in plough end when we do it up. Knowing what our stewards are like they're not gonna let you stand up when your using a seat. And I don't think I'm old enough to start using seats at football matches yet <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
