Suitable players for nationwide conference

if and we make it to the nationwide conference, which of our current players (especially in defence ) do you think can make it in the conference and maybe in higher divisions? Also which positions do you think we need to make huge improvements in to play in the nationwide conference?

I'm thinking.......

 

Bastock, Lewis, Hann, Davis will all be very good Conference players (if we get there).

 

The rest are a bit touch and go.......we need a big, powerful striker I think.

I'd also include Elphick, Marwa and Clarke in that list! We also haven't seen the best of Andy Ross yet, I'd like to see him given a full game or two.

I would agree to an extent, but the reason I put them as 'a bit touch and go' is:

Elphick - has a few lapses in concentration sometimes, eg Muff's first goal, but certainly has potential, he's still young remember.

Marwa - he didn't live up to life in the Conference at Dagenham.

Clarke - just have a feeling that the Conference is a much more powerful and faster league, which might not suit his game.

if walshy lost some weight i also think he could do a job, his left foot is so sweet and good enough. but hehas to lose a few pounds (stone)

He's one of the most gifted players in the Conference South - and a really nice bloke.

 

If he doesn't lose 20 lbs over the Summer, sponsored or not, I should think that he's unlikely to be gracing the hallowed turf. I imagine that someone has told him, and providing it's not a medical condition - pregnancy for example - I for one look forward to seeing [less of] him next season in the Conference Nationale.

how about our Patrick Ada, he seems ok. Does anyone think he can play at a higher level?

Yes I think Patrick Ada would be suitable. He definatley has the fitness level required.

I think he'd do well at conference level. He hasn't played as much of late though.. he just needs a few more games under his belt to gain some experience. was suprised not to se him play against weymouth.
