That looked a 'game too far' last night. I think we need to remember that 41 league games is an awful lot more than we've had to play in a season before (and at a higher level). With injuries to Russell and Lee (and Steve leaving) its asking a lot of many of the squad to make that step up, both in terms of quantity & quality. Perhaps helpfully allowing Aveley to put the kick off back wasn't a good idea, as Corby had already won, but a PHD in hindsight in a ready commodity.

 

A weekend off should help recharge some batteries. And that's just the supporters!

That is a good call about the number of games.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but perhaps we should have tried to hold on to a few more Players, ie Steve Baldwin.

Pay attention! Russell hasn't played a league game since 4 March, at Dartford. And he missed the three before that.

One thing I was wondering is who would take over the gloves if we lost the keeper during a game like Aveley yesterday and Sittingbourne the other week who both used substitute keeprs?

Surely though if you can have five subs at this level you make one a genuine keeper dont you?
