Weymouth today

Recommended Posts

Great performance today from the lads, felt we deserved a point at least. Two iffy decisions by the ref swung it in Weymouth's favour! Don't think that Weymouth will blow it now so let's go for the play offs!

Fantastic support today, hope we get as good support at Stevenage!

Off to drown my sorrows in Bournemouth now!

Superb performance I thought. Very proud of the effort from the players and the support from our fans (and some from Dorchester!!!). You're right Lancashire Saint, a point would have been farier but lets concentrate on Saturday now and hold our heads high for producing such a great day for all.

Great stuff yesterday!! Well done to Colin, Nick and t'lads at the Wessex stadium. Weymouth took their chances and we didn't - and the better team lost - but what a super football match.

MotM for me was Tom Davis who showed what he can do for 100 minutes or so. A special mention for Ben Lewis but thay all played their part.

It was particularly good to throw off the below par performances of the past couple of weeks and to enter the next two or three weeks in the right frame of mind to get there via the play-offs if we have to. It ain't over yet by a long way!

And a big well-done to the Travelling City Faithful [and guests]. A great atmosphere on the terraces helped by some very sensible and professional stewarding and policing at the sharp end.

Apart from the result, for me it was what a great day out should be. The approach of the Muff Officials was wrong but it's time to move on. Bring on the Have & Havenots.

I agree with the on site report of the game, as soon as the ref looked to get the crowd on his side with early bookings I felt we would be up against it but the effort was superb and the least we deserved was a point. The disallowed goal stands alongside that at Forest Green to demonstrate an officials need to make an impact on a game. The ball was in before the keeper hit Amos!

I didn't try to count 'em all, ESU, but I did a section and multiplied it. Close to 500 at a guess in our section but it was swelled by some good guys from Dorchester - maybe 20/30 or so.

We took three coaches, one of which had some spaces on it.

Great atmosphere.

That segregated bit reminds me a bit of Aldershot especially when you have hundreds of Shots' fans up against the barrier heckling you!!!

Yes noticed that. Most of the heckling and abuse at Aldershot comes from the kids.
