Thoughts from the Folkestone game

Saw lots of blue all around the folkestone ground it was more like a home game.

Tannoy announced mom as no 8 for folkestone didn't see it that way myself but more power to his elbow anyway.

Unlucky to concede right at the end but a draw a fair result as far as I'm concerned. Yiga had his poorest game for the Gate today in ages. Disagree with you Michael about our defence. It is still very poor at times. I can remember a number of goal mouth scrambles. On a positive note Hockton played well and Standen had a better game.

I think that was Hocktons best performance for Gate since AFCW away. More of that please and i thought Brayley played his best for a long time.

Hockton was great. I'm a big Brayley fan but he was poor today. He kept losing possession and he moaned throughout the game.

I thought Brayley played a lot better today than he has done for the past month. Not quite at his best but still did well. Hockton superb. He causes defences so many problems when he works like he did today and we play to his strengths as we did today.

Hockton ran his socks off and looked a threat. I still dont feel Brayley played that well. He seems a different player. For the first few games he was superb. Lately he seems frustrated with his form and others around him.

He doesnt like playing up front and aparantly he has been like this in the past when he starts of well then he loses interest. Hope this is not the case now.

Personally I think he would be best at left wing where he played against Fisher at home did he not? He was awesome then.

I also hope this is not the case. Next season if he can rediscover his form he will be a key player.

Brayley worked his socks off today without having the ball run for him. You could see he was up for a goal to finish his season off with. Made the assist for the goal.Worked extremely hard today.

Agree Tony. What is a player supposed to do. He was running down the right second half, the ball came over his right shoulder, he increased pace to go with it. Instead of going on the ball hit one of the many lumps in the pitch came back and hit him on the chest. What can he do about that. Folkestone played the only way you can on a pitch like that. UNRELENTING PIN POINT ARIAL BOMBARDMENT, THATS NOT FOOTBALL. I for one would not want to see that week in week out.
