Nice work from Johnson, the Smiths and Drury.

Even Luke Moore actually did something with the ball.

 

McCarthy reacted as anyone would.. but he had to be sent off for it. That fella deserved a slap.

2,3,4 or 5 years time when we sell Luke to play at a higher standard of football, I would imagine that you would be moaning again ?

Does he though? Surely Woking have 3 league games left and he will work off his suspension in those? (Who cares though - more imortant - does Macca miss the KSC Final as a result?

 

Really pleased for Luke to get the goal today - will, I'm sure, relieve the pressure he must have been feeling - the bobbly pitch actually helped for once & sat the ball up nicely for him to finish.

 

Thunderbolt finish from Brad as well.

 

Woking were poor - it certainly looked as though they had minds on the Trophy final already - I think Craig only had one real save to make all game, although Woking did have 2 good chances in the first half, which should really have been better used.

 

Overall, a basically scrappy game, but one from which we deserved the 3 points.

Liam told me after the game that Macca will get a four game ban as he has been suspended already this season, so that will carry over to the first game next season. But I have a feeling he may - and I am not certain about this - be eligible to play in the KSC Final. Aaron may be fit for that one too. By the way, Neil Smith and Glenn Cockerill had no complaints about the result when I interviewed them for BBC SCR. Good win lads. Tune in on Saturday for my commentary from Morecambe.

Yes - suspensions picked up in league games cannot be served in County Cups. For instance, earlier in the season Bradley Johnson was suspended for two games following his red card against Canvey, served this suspension against Cambridge and Kiddy, and was able to play in the Dover game in between these two games.
