A-League/Conference Crossover League

A-LEAGUE/CONFERENCE CROSSOVER LEAGUE

The A-League/Conference Crossover League is a fans' initiative between football supporters' clubs of the English Nationwide Conference and the North American A-League (Division Two).

Basically how it works is supporters' clubs of a team in the Conference and in the A-League form a sister club relationship, and support each other during their respective off-seasons.

The current list of sister club alliances thus far includes:

Barnet - Atlanta Silverbacks

Burton Albion - Richmond Kickers

Chester City - Charlotte Eagles

Doncaster Rovers - Virginia Beach Mariners

Halifax Town - Portland Timbers

Hereford United - Calgary Storm

Leigh RMI - Charleston Battery

Morecambe - Montréal Impact

Scarborough - Toronto Lynx

Southport - Vancouver Whitecaps

Woking - Pittsburgh Riverhounds

We're hoping to get as many clubs as possible involved, so have a look. Several of the supporters' clubs are working to get their sister club relationship officially recognized at the club level.

The website has a much greater explanation as to how everything works, as well as links to all the A-League clubs that are still without a sister club from the Conference.

Cheers.

I will go for the Rochester Raging Rhinos.

The dubious link being that they are based in Rochester New York state,

and there is a Gravesend in New York state. Also, our Rochester is almost a neighbour.

As a Green Bay Packers fan, my choice would be to pair with Milwaukee Rampage!

What did make Milwaukee famous?

Not only was Milwaukee famous for Happy Days, but the spin off Laverne and Shirley.

Schlitz IS the beer.and there's an oblique reference in Rod Stewart's "What Made Milwaukee famous(made a loser out of me)".

Hah! Milwaukee...they can't even get their own fans to pay attention to them, not worth your time. But their head coach IS fun to harass and has a very quick temper....

I wouldn't worry about what someone from Minnesota thinks that's like asking a Dartford fan for an honest apprasal of the Fleet.

Nobody has suggested anything else, so Milwaukee it is then

Beside my first choice was taken

I am away for a day or so following the mighty Status Quo around the Country! See, I am even sadder than you thought!

If you have decided which club to follow by the time I have returned, I may be persuded to do my bit for Queen and Country. Besides which I have always wanted to be a special guest at a "major" sporting event in The U S of A! And I can see openings here!

Any team which is based in a City producing beer is fine by me, although the Rochester Raging Rubbery Rubbish Rhinos seem a stupid enough side to be of interest!

This seems like a good idea as it means that "Super Daz" will have teams to hate for the whole year!

I've made a unilateral exective decision and started the process of aligning with Milwaukee.

After all there were more Conference Clubs left than A-league so we couldn't really wait any longer
