Sad News

[Football Man]

It is with regret that I have heard of the passing of Ken Woodward, father of Kieran, who was killed in a diving accident in Dorset on Easter Saturday.

 

Ken, who often wrote on these forums under the pseudonym of Diver1830, was a great friend of Potters Bar Town Football Club. Despite spending most of this season watching his son play for ETFC, he always flew the PBT colours on here and would still pop along to our games when he could. It is no understatement to say that without the many hours of work that Ken and George Poole (Bradley's dad) put in at the club twelve months ago, we would never have got Parkfield up to Southern League standards and the club would not be where we are today.

 

There will be a minutes silence before our home match with Wingate & Finchley on Easter Monday.

 

All at Potters Bar Town send our condolences to Kieran and the rest of the Woodward family. May Ken rest in peace.
