Let's hope it does not happen. They have deservedly got into the top flight.

 

As far as I know, a team can be relegated from the Conference, and can be demoted on financial grounds, or for ground grading reasons, but if a team actually resigns from the Conference, then you might find there is no mechanism to cope with it.

 

In other words, they would be right out of the pyramid structure, and into the ESL. And that is something we certainly don't want to happen.
