MF I do agree. I hope we get the new manager in as early as possible in May so he can build the team. Leave it until the end of May-early June and already we are at a disadvantage. Managers are already on the phone tonight probably securing their signings for next season.

I was also susprised (and pleased) Walid didnt start. Must admit I have been racking my brains for a player we could realistically sign that would do a great job for us. Other than signing Alan Tait I can see no better option than Matata who is a great finisher, has great pace and skill. Go get him PLEASE.

Great finisher, pace and skill: Adolf Amoako. He couldn't do it for us though.

 

I think we should stick with Bertie and Danny. They have great understanding and work well for each other. Bertie doesn't look so good when he is pushed wide. He should play where he did today: just off Danny, swapping sides occasionally to keep the defence guessing.

Every good team needs 3 strikers with ability though. Especially somebody with pace who can finish. We must be looking to sign a striker in the summer whether or not he replaces Bertie up front.

i was making the point as he wasn't selected in the starting 11 which obviously means he wasn't in trotty's plans,he did ok but it was L P who was the key man for me.

I dont know how many times I have said it but I hope we can keep Protheroe. If he was offered the same money Ive heard Gradley is on would he turn it down? I doubt it. Id gladly take Protheroe over Gradley.
