Probably because he had a poor first half.Although with Town on the atatck in the second half,he could have been dangerous.

 

Woodward would have been usefull in the last 20 minutes as well.

Stephens would have done a good job powering into the box late on.

Magona had a great game filling in for Stephens last week, but had a mare today before he was taken off.I suspect Stephens hamstring prevented him from starting in the holding role.

I would still have prefered to see him on for the last part of the game.

We tend to play intricate one-touch, short passing.Hard,bobbly pitches have always caused us trouble.As a lot of our palyers are on the small side,having the ball bouncing around at chest hieght is not ideal.Unfortunatly these are the sort of conditions you get near the end of the season.In the second half we tried to play slightly longer passes over the top of their defense ,and we became a lot more dangerous.

Not at Brimsdown.Most games don't seem to finish until 5.00pm.I think the record is 24 minutes against Brentwood a few seasons ago,when we were 4-3 up and down to 9 men.The ref was never going to blow-up until Brentwood equalised.It did take them nearly half-hour of time-added before they managed it though.

What a tremendous effort by at least 15 people yesterday!!!!!

 

Yes, I am talking about those who worked tirelessly off the pitch in generating funds, interest and getting all those cars in and out of the ground without a hitch.

 

Ticket sellers, stewards, caterers, Jets assistants, etc, all did a fantastic job.

 

Over £200.00 for the 50/50 ticket can't be bad for an outlay of 50p! Drinks all round on the lucky winner! Even had two lots of Goalden Goal tickets, now that's a first.

Can I just enquire as to why we made a substitution after coming back to 2-2? Surely we were playing the right type of attacking football to have been able to get the goals back? Why change it if it ain't broke?

I'll second that Andy, and all the little "JETS" were great too, and they managed to keep so still & quiet for the "silence" Amazing!!!
