no need to apologise, thats what forum are for, everyone has an opinion and most of them are worth listening to, I was merely being honest.

The problems I referred to vis hooligans, were not football related, like most parks and recreation areas, the Stadium was a magnet for the youngsters, where there are youngsters there are yobbos et al and the stadium had been taken over, even to the extent of them actually sleeping in the changing rooms after they had broken in, couldn't make it up could you. That's now all long gone and good riddance.

You have a valid point vis families but we are all family people, we simply do not have room for the people that would wish to get into the clubhouse, end of, and there is nothing to be done but increase the facilities which, subject to planning, hopefully will happen this coming close season, we shall see. Something had to give and the decision, rightly or wrongly (everyone has a view at our club also) was made to restrict under 18's. from both the clubhouse bar and the boardroom, the urchin bar is open to all. It has worked thus far, yes we have had a couple of complaints but mostly free loaders who will sit in boardrooms all day drink and keep dry (don't have much time for that I'm afraid) Anyway, we will march on and get to where we want to be. We accept that what we have done thus far will attract critism, sometimes for the right reasons and at other times for totally the wrong reasons. Nonetheless we shall continue along our way and hopefully prove people wrong to doubt our intentions.

You missed a good 40 minutes from the Urchins on Saturday but the rest was pretty bleak. Rugby seemed a good choice as it turned out!! Good Luck.

Very good, you obviously do not come to our games or else you would know the answer to that, they do come to the 1st team games a lot of the time, they are good vocal support, they use the urchin bar for refreshment and if all goes to plan they will (along with the under 18's) have their very own sasparrella bar next year. Any more silly questions whilst I have few minutes spare here at my desk?

you may have stumbled onto one of the reasons why we do play too deep when under pressure, Lowrie does play an advanced role in midfield up towards the two strikers and maybe since Nickies been injured we have been rather flat across midfield and allowed ourselves to be pushed deep. Probably a few reasons all in all, but we will not murder teams and get our just rewards for good footie (which we are playing most of the time) if we sit back and invite long ball merchants onto us, something will give, it always does, specially in the mud.In any event, Mick will sort it, I have no doubt.

Another draw on saturday, a point gained or two points lost? Maybe we should be doing better than our recent form with the quality of lockey, gav, jonah and taff. Shame to lose gav at half time, think we missed him out wide. Lockey has started showin his true colours, the best i've seen him play. the guy is gifted and a great asset to the club. Another good finish from taff, we have become used to seein the lad dig out goals from nowhere. come on lads, its time we started to look for goals from elsewhere on the park apart from jonah and taff, they're now both marked men after already proving to be the most dangerous partnership in the league.

On a positive note we're putting a string of decent results together and making ourselves hard to beat. good luck tomorrow lads, signing out, the wizard.

On the subject on the security guards, or stewards, I do think it is totally pointless having 6 of them there for the game. From what I could gather the only "action" they saw was radioing each other each time the ball when out the ground!! Are 6 of them really necessary??? I know what happened to our old club house, so it is well worth having 24 hour security at the ground, but having them there match days serves no purpose whatsoever and as Boroman said, not really worth it for 200 odd fans!!

Respect your opinion (and boroman's) but you also have to respect our's as well (I nearly said trust us...sorry) someone has to run the business (and it has to be a business to go forward) we have that job and you must believe in us to do it. We're doing okay thus far and there are issues that are not common knowledge that we do have to address...so please...if you think that sometimes things are a little over the top.....well.....hate so say it..... but trust us...okay....we're not as daft as we all look.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif" alt="" />

nearly missed that one 'observer' nicely spotted and you are right, it just proved what we already knew, the barton people came to us and had no respect for our club or its rules. There is lots of it in non league footie, these people profess to be family minded and shout aloud that non league footie should be for all the family but its always the commitee members and THEIR families in cosy boardrooms whilst the real fans are out in the p****g rain. Jealousy is the root of it all, you can just imagine their conversations on the way to the old stadium can't you, something like...'who do this lot think they are, only been around two minutes, think they can do as they like now they've got a few quid'...et al...one word just about sums 'em all up really...a******s
