CIFC Supporters Trust - Just One Day On

Recommended Posts

On Thursday we had a historic meeting at Park Lane and established our very own Supporters Trust. We took Jeff's words to heart and decided to do everything we can to make sure this great club keeps going.

From yesterday, we have so far raised well in excess of £1000 all together, and that's excluding the money which will be raised by Monday's "Essex Marathon". This is an absolutely remarkable acheivement and everyone who donated can rightly feel very proud.

As can everyone that marched from the Paddocks to Park Lane today (in the rain!) to show how much this club means to the local people. The 40-50 people who made the trip were excellent throughout and certainly helped raise awareness on "the rock!"

There will be more events happening throughout the summer, but starting with some for the rest of this season.

As previously mentioned, 15 or so of us will be walking to Dagenham to raise funds. This will be a gruelling challenge but by the response is one we're all up for completing for the good of the club.

Other events that will take place are the Dancing Linney "David Brent Bonanza" during half tim v Exeter (just wait and see, this will be classic!!!)

Also, away at Halifax will be a Fancy Dress Day, which should be a great laugh. Our very own Club Secretary Wayne Purser has promised that if enough of us take part in this, he will parade himself as Blakey from On The Buses (When he did the impression the likeness was uncanny!!)

Throughout the summer there will be A LOT of events to push this trust to it's potential, and also to get the local community as involved as possible!

What a great day it was today, let's push on at the Daggers and prove once and for all that the Gulls Will Never Die!!!
