Pre-season fixtures

I see from Tuesdays meeting that it is unlikely that a new manager will be appointed for a few weeks-looks like it will be after season closes.

 

I think for next season we in theory have 6/7 players contracted(plus hopefuly some more from current squad especially Protheroe and gradley and bechet.

 

Anyway, i wonder if either/or RT and/or KP or rest of board can get 2/3 pre-season fixtures arranged,before we are left with the 'dregs of playing against teams about 6 divisions below that proves nothing.

Personally, i don't think we need loads of pre-season fixtures, but if 2/3 could be arranged prior to appointing a new manager, it gives something to prepare for, and no doubt a new manager would also fix up a couple of his own fixtures

At Tuesday's meeting Ken Tomlinson that there were 6 players contacted for next season. I guess that they are RT,BB,DH,OS,HD and LW. I imangine all the other contracted players contracts run out at the end of this season.

Wasn't Charlie signed for two years?

I thought Allman and possibly donovan were also signed for next season.

I guess the uncertain situation with the ground will complicate the arranging of friendlies. This was the case last season and, of course, before that we were in exile.

No harm in arranging 3 away fixtures

 

we do need to be 'arranging' these sorts of things now imo.

I expect someone is, but you never know as we are slightly up in air on manager front at present
