Can't really comment on that until the results of tonight are relayed back to him and then it's up to him to decide as his company still currently owns the Club and everything associated with the running of the Club are still in their name/hands.

The main emphasis of tonight was just to see if the fans wanted to form a Trust. I wouldn't be surprised if there are at least a couple of other meetings called soon where everything to do with the running of the Club will be detailed - Once Jeff has made his final decisions.

We'll probably find out more about running the Club if/when the Trust are allowed, by Jeff to take control. I presume that'll be when candidates will put themselves forward to be elected onto the Board. But that also depends on if Jeff finds another big backer he's willing to give the Club over to.

Tonight was all about reacting to the challenge that had been set to us. I honestly can't believe how far we've come from Sunday, tonight's meeting was a massive indication of this. Let's keep this momentum going and take our Trust from strength to strength!

I didn't want to be the one to bring this up, but it was bound to find it's way onto here eventually.

Chelmsford have a Board Meeting on Wednesday where they plan to reveal some "important news" regarding their future.

"We have a Board meeting on Wednesday, and hopefully, will be able to get the communication flow back to the old ways. But one thing that you can be assured of, its going to be a great train to ride on over the next few years, the wait and the loyalty will have been well worth it."

I'm not reading into anything just yet, but it looks like the truth may just be getting official.

He said after the Tamworth(?) game something along the lines of - "If everyone puts a pound in, I'll put a pound in. But I won't be doing it all on my own."

The interview is probably still on the BBC site.

Chelmsford is a bigger place so possibly as more of a potential to get large gates but I don’t think they will as Chelmsford’s ground is a bugger to get as its 40 mins walk from the station and being in Melbourne Park is most deprived area of the town and parking is well non existent as my dad went my car to the Chelmo V Ricay game and had to park over 10 miles walk from the ground and he got there nearly two hours before kick off

Hence why JK is a fool to think he will ever get big crowds at Chelmsford at Melbourne as its no New Writtle Street

FROM THE CHELMSFORD FORUM

One aspect of our move back home which has disappointed the directors of the club is the failure of the Clubhouse to become established with the local residents on non-match days. Since Friday February 10 the clubhouse has been open every day from 6pm during the week and from noon at weekends but has failed to attract an acceptable number of visitors from the local communities. Of course, any new venture such as this takes time to become successful and Peter Stroud has recently taken over the responsibility for the development of the clubhouse into a major contributor to the income of the club. In his matchday programme notes on April 22 Peter said-

“We expected the Clubhouse facility to be generating serious profits and to now we have so far failed on this. We haven’t made it attractive (not talking physically) enough to entice punters to spend their money, book their weddings, book their anniversaries, etc., at the facility. I have now taken over the management, from the board of this side of the business and hopefully this will pick up. I will be involving the supporters in this as you are the best sales people for this club.”

Maybe the locals in Chelmsford are different to those on Canvey (me thinks not)!!!
