Yes, I'll be there. I expect I'll be attending most of the meetings. A few questions should be answered tonight. There's things going on that I can't really discuss but we're fairly positive that the club will carry on albeit at a lower level.

Do you think you'll quit the Conference immediately?

Unlikely we can stay in the Conference unless we get a major new investor. Even Conf South would be difficult. It's up to the fans to rally around, raise awareness and increase funds then we'll see where the situations lies. Hopefully the worst case situation will be going back to the ESL.

 

I'll know more after tonight and we've got a few things planned for tomorrow's game that sound positive.

Are clubs simply allowed to drop out of a division because they can't afford it anymore?

It's a rather farcical situation in the Conference. Scarborough are in administration and might be demoted, Crawley have problems, Altrincham as well and plus ourselves. Conference could be rather short on clubs next season!!

 

Forest Green are one lucky team. This will be the third time they've stayed up on a technicality.

 

I might be coming up to watch your game with 'ayes on Saturday as I'm at a loose end so will fill you in with any gossip then if I go.

40,000 people plus 80,000 caravans!!!

Probably nearer 50,000. Alot of new properties have been built in the last 10 years. In the early 90s there was probably around 40,000 living on the Island. I'm sure the numbers have increased a bit since then.

 

Only 1% of the population attend Canvey games regularly. Pretty pathetic.
