Fisher 4 Ricay 0

Oh dear, I didn't want to be the one to break the news to those elsewhere who didn't know the score, but it seems I am first to post! Detailed discussions and opinions will no doubt soon follow, but let's just say no major complaints on the night and well done The Fish...

Ditto that NN. Fish being 2 up at half time was possibly a bit flatering for them. We made a few good chances and finished the first playing well.

Second half? Didn't get started. No complaints with result.

Didn't go to our game at their place recently but they barely put a foot wrong last night.

I'm sure we can pick it up for Harrow tommorow though.

yep, well done to Fisher, good value for their win.

Dont know where to begin really. I think the simple facts are that we defended badly, lost possession too easily and when we did have chances we failed to take them. Had Flack scored when instead he put it wide we would have been in with a shout.

No point in pointing the finger at individual players, everyone is dissapointed enough and I'm certain the players themselves will be devasted. The one plus for me was that in Leon Hunter we had the best midfielder on the pitch last night.

Lets just hope we can go out and win our remaining games and maybe give ourselves a chance of the playoffs.

Yep, At least we have another game quickly so we can get this one out of the way. A couple of our players were below par and maybe a few views about where we need to strengthen next year were confirmed, but I agree with Paul that "blaming" individuals serves no purpose.

Fisher are a good side and they played well, particularly going forward and to be honest they looked like scoring pretty much every time they attacked. They defended adequately and the scoreline, although a choker for us, reflected their superiority on the night.

I agree that our only real chance of changing the game was the Flack chance that would have sent us in at 2-1, but really they had loads of chances to increase their tally.

I was quite disappointed with Gray's ground. Mr Woodwwod should invest a few bob in a decent PA and burger stall that doesnt keep people waiting an hour and then tell them theyve sold out at half time!!

Our support was quality, if the gate was 900 then we must have had at least 500 of that...well done to everyone who pitched up.

It was a bad result for the club but a good day for the club.

Onwards and upwards..keep the faith

About this time last year i was distraught at losing 2-1 to leyton in the playoffs. A team we were much better than and i gave out a lot of abuse.

today i am merely mourning, we werent so bad last night, we were just played off the park.

We need to bring in a crowd of 500 for fridays game, to let the players know were behind them all the way, that would show how well this club is supported.

Congratulations to a very good fisher side, im sure joe will be waking up with one hell of a hangover.

Fan support was terrific last night. thanks to ryan for putting on the coaches. Maybe we'll just have to settle for the champions league.

Can't argue with any of the above really. In the recent league game, we were able to dominate the midfield, last night we were unable to get going in there and they were able to play through us too easily.

I guess it's good experience - reckon for most of last night's side it would have been their first cup final and hopefully we won't have to wait 10 years for the next!

Beaten by a better side on the night who looked stronger and sharper. Although we didn't do ourselves justice, the way the players kept battling and trying to force something, even at 4 down, was a credit. Great support, what C***** wouldn't give to have support like that!

Agree with all said above. No one can argue we played well last night. Some of the big players werent involved in the action much, eg Gamo. Thats not to single out criticism on any one player, the team as a whole was poor last night, sometimes that happens. Fisher were much the better side, and deserved what was ultimately a comfortable victory. The support was excellent last night, large numbers travelled to what was essentially an away game, i just hope any new faces werent turned off by the performance or result. The singers sang there hearts out (myself not included - too hungover), well done to everyone who turned out to support the lads.

What can I say... A very disappointing result, but for me it was worse to see how our boys performed on the field. It has to be one of the worst performnces I've seen, and wednesdays game was my 19th with the first team...

Ryan said something like this in our clubhouse later on: When we play good football, we're just excellent, but when we play poor, we play the poorest football I've ever seen. It's no middle thing with Billericay.

But, as you all know, I'm not scared easily, so I will continue to come over!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Cross my fingers for the remaining three games, and hope for a new play-off-final...

We're winning tonight so that this years awards night will be something special to celebrate!
