Last game of the season

Recommended Posts

I know a few clubs who do that for the last away game, Hornchurch, Maidenhead etc.

Was it the final game of a season that Bedford fans dressed as Nuns? Quality sight!

A many years ago a tradition was started (by Birmingham City fans I believe) that you attended your last home game in fancy dress.

How about we resurrect this cherished footballing tradition and even make it a sponsored event? All proceeds to the club.

i think that is a quality idea as it is raising money for the club to get us started for next season , and making it a last home game to remember.

I know its hard with people being worried and stupid rumours flying about from knobs from other teams but can we stop talking like there wont be a club around next season. It is completely wrong to be talking like this because firstly, we dont know any of the major details yet and secondly, if it does turn out to be bad, we will still have a club, just a demoted one.

Come on people, we can do this fancy dress thing as a supporters thing to show our support and not worry about if its the last thing we do for the club. Coz that will NOT happen. Not with fans like me around and not with fans like YOU!

Canvey Girl, just in case you thoght i was having a go, i wasn't.Just illustrating how some people's perceptions of what will happen can only turns the attention away of what to do to keep the club in the Conference. We will still have a club darling and many home games to come, even if its against Sawbridgeworth or Eton Manor!

I'm sure if we did find ourselves back in the ESL we'd have a whale of a time... until we woke up and realised that THIS IS IT, WE HAVE TO START AGAIN. I never watched Canvey in the ESL, but did see them quite a bit in the RPL and the feeling is definately different to that of the Conference. There's just something... different. Not better, just different. Do you know what I mean?

We can organise for everyone to have individual photographs taken for Sponsorship reasons.

Yeah, on the plus side, away travel will be over quicker. Although I bet Sawbridgeworth and Eton Manor have got little shitbox grounds!

Sawbridgeworth's ground isn't that bad actually, Eton Manor groundshare with Tilbury and in truth thats not bad either...

The ones that are 'little shitbox grounds' are Hulbridge, Walthem Abbey and London APSA just to name a few!

However, it has been very humbling. I thought Braintree was a sh!thole until I went these places!
