Just another game.

Towns match this Saturday is "just another game" and that is the way it should be treated.

Town need the 3 points in just the same way that they did when we played Stamford or Arlesey or Wivenhoe at home over recent weeks.

There is a lot of hipe being put on the forum, but the bottom line is that the 3 points are important, who we beat getting them is not.

Enfield FC seem to be treating this like a Cup Final, which it is NOT.

Come on Town - a win and 3 points will be fine, then off to Aveley for another 3.

Chill. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bisou.gif" alt="" />

Of course they think it's a cup final. Their season is over as the have pulled away from relegation and won't make the play offs. This is all they have to look forward to and I'm not being bitchy either. We are pushing for second spot and also have a cup final to look forward to. Our season ios still alive.

However, any Town fan who won't admit how good it is to beat the Nomads is deluding themselves.

I think MK is just allergic to entering the borough of Enfield.

MK,take comfort in the fact that Town supporters handed more money over to your club, that you will do our.450 of us paid £7 a pop into EFC coffers at ware.

Are you really begruding 150 of you paying £6 each at our place?

With three wins currently needed to secure promotion (two will probably suffice, but I wouldn't want to risk it) All three games are equally important. The fact that it's EFC in one of them is neither here nor there. All three are 'must win' games.

Bringing this back to the subject of the thread, I don't entirely agree with the sentiments given so far.

Need 3 points? Of course! Promotion the priority? Undoubtedly! But his game is all that and more.

Is Man Utd v Man City just another game? Spurs/Arsenal? Celtic/Rangers? Bristol Rovers/ Bristol City? Liverpool/Everton?

Now I'm not professing that either club is anyhting like that level but this is our derby at home to our most local rivals/friends. Regardless of where Enfield are playing week in/ week out, a game against that club is the game that most people have been looking forward to for most of the season. It's possible (likely?) that we might never meet in a league game again - bragging rights are up for grabs and we must do the double over our namesakes.

Passions will be high and we cannot allow Enfield FC to want the win more than us. If anyone truly believes that this is just another game, my view is that you are missing the point.

Cry havoc and release the dogs!!
