Billericay Town - Stamford, Final @ Wembley in 1976

Hi,

 

This is a long shot but I am looking for information, memorabelia etc from the above match. My father in law played in the match and scored the winner in extra time. His name is Geoff Aslett and I am trying to get him something as a gift - photos, videos, anything! The jackpot would be a photo of the winning goal going in!

 

Any help would be greatly recieved.

Geoff Aslett = legend. Cannot really remember too much about those days as was a small boy, but do remember those vase trips on the double decker buses from the station. And in that era the schools in billericay allowed the kids to have a afternoon off for the trip upto Nottingham Forest for the replay with Sheffield. Hope you find someone with decent momentos that can help you. Has Geoff not got much on those days?

I think he has got a few photos and other bits, but nothing framed and presented etc.

Jeff Aslett a man of very little words but big in actions. Especially when he came on as a sub at one particular game, laid a oppo player out and continued walking towards the dressing room!!!

 

Anyone remember that? Who was the team and the player?
