Histon gain ground grading

Histon’s Bridge Road ground was given a ‘B’ ground grading which means should the side finish the season in the top five in Nationwide South they will be allowed to take part in the play-offs for promotion to the Conference National.

 

Ground grading officer Peter Hunter, in approving the grading, was keen to compliment the club on their achievement, commenting: “Not only has the grading been achieved, something I must admit I once thought might prove impossible, but the upgrading to the perimeter fencing, hard- standing areas and turnstiles has been carried out to a very high standard indeed.”

 

With the additional stand the club could now accommodate more than 200 spectators under cover, 1400 on the terraces and 650 seating

 

Histon chairman Gareth Baldwin commented: “I was pleased to be present at the inspection and as chairman of Histon really proud to hear the commendation from Peter Hunter but the real credit for this massive achievement goes to John Webster and Angelo Dama, who have overseen the ground development project and carried out some of the work.”

 

So thats one club we dont want to finish in the play offs.
