Form guide

Recommended Posts

You are entitled to your views CG, just as I am entitled to mine. Quite frankly tough if anyone disagrees!

If everyone came onto this forum and agreed with each other, all claiming that everything is fine and rosy in the Stonebridge Road garden and that Daish can walk on water (personally I wish he would fall into it ) this forum would be an absolute waste of time and effort.

Still perhaps thats what some people want???

Just looked at the form guide using your link CG.

It shows precisley the affect in the downturn in results over the last 10 games. Not that anyone needed a league table to know that.

Its just as well results from earlier in the season were somewhat better, otherwise we would be dead and buried and facing Conference South football next season.

No doubt many posters on this forum will still maintain that Daish is doing a good job.

But it's not as black and white as that. Those who are getting bored of CG's relentless moaning aren't necessarily waving 'We Love Daish' flags, and asking CG to change the record isn't necessarily a defence of Daish... but while we're all somewhat underwhelmed by recent events, most of us are thoroughly bored by CG unchanging tirades.

Yes, you're entitled to your opinion (indeed I'd say you, WVN, are finding a fair few like-minded posters on the back of our recent 'run', whiuch is fair enough)... but over and over and over and over again in everything you post, like CG?

Does every thread need a criticism of Daish, regardless of what it's about?

Err, when did my original post on this thread ever criticise Liam?

OK, rephrase my sentence to "nearly every thread". I don't think you can argue against that..! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/achso.gif" alt="" />

Slagging off ?? Surely not......

You and WVN are entitled to your opinion, but so am I !! And, as WVN says, if other people don't like it, then tough ( oh sh*t ....am I agreeing with WVN here ?).

What does p*ss me off though is you just keep going on...and on...and on...and on about the same old thing.

What is the answer I hear you say.....well, not sure really. Sacking Daish is your option, but that will cost....and then who would you get (don't say Kinnear for f*cks sake !). As has been said in other posts, money is rather tight at the moment so, even if the board wanted to ( which they don't as far as I am aware ) get rid of Liam, I don't think that they could afford to.

The only option is for you & WVN to stick your dosh in, get on the board, & do what you think is best, and prepare for real criticism ( constructive of course !).

Regards,

Can't argue with that, Stu, but there again, hasn't Mr Daish's management been of significant interest of late, especially when you throw in the Protheroegate saga?

But what annoys people in particular, I suspect, is when your criticism becomes so relentless that it becomes unwarranted, such as posting something along the lines of '1-0 down - more dross' at half-time in the Aldershot game, when the first half was in fact fairly even and had certainly been an improvement on previous matches.

I don't know what the answer is either. CK is definately not though. During our time searching for a new man, I clearly stated I didn't like his style, too many complaints, whinges and excuses.

Even the most ardent fans at Margate, such as Cookie are starting to say his time had run it's course, In some respects as had Andy Ford's.

What I can say, hopefully uncontentiously, is that the board have some very difficult decisions to make, and within a short time span, if we are to succeed next year.
FF has put the case more eloquently than I ever could, but in a nutshell we need:
1.The Northfleet end sorting out.
2.A serious strengthening of the squad, especially forwards,
3.New sponsorship, more important now than ever with no Gladwish and Dartford helping us.
4.New and sustained ways of increasing attendances.
Are the most obvious and pressing, but we must also look at speeding up the proccess of procuring and building a new stadium, as Stonebridge Road is falling down, at least the stand roofs appear to be, and the ground could become a cash cow swallowing all spare cash unless we are careful.

You are right these are all serious issues . Its a question of prioritising what the board thinks is success.

Yours , mine and theres can and probably are completely different, and none of them would be wrong.

For me its all about increasing our fan base, and as such I would be prepared and would support funds being diverted from the team into underwriting fan increasing ventures.

For others sucess is solely how high you finish in the table, and for others its how much money can you make / not lose in the short term.

The board have to weigh each of these up and decide what they think is best. As you say its a difficult time and aand I don't envy them.
