Boylan has slapped in a transfer request apparently. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
so you may get your chance..........

I think he might be looking further up the league than us, somehow...!

Depends on whether his injury record of late will put league clubs off.....

.....which is why, realistically, we still have Charlie MacDonald.

You've made some astute posts of late, WVN, so why ruin it by posting Chatham Gary-esque moans about left-backs?

The fact is, we've only got a lot of left-backs if you include players who can play there, but more commonly play somewhere else, such as Jacko.

Boylan says in today's NLP that he wants to play in the League or, failing that, for a Conference side challenging near the top of the table.

I'll get the cheap shot in before anyone else: 'that rules us out then!' (chortle, chortle)

According to Boylan, the fee will probably be about £20,000.

Also, Jeff King banned NLP reporters from Park Lane after the paper revealed a few weeks ago that Boylan was going to leave, apparently. 'How to make friends and influence people' etc.

EDIT: Lastly, and perhaps most significantly, it was agreed at a meeting last night that Canvey will have a supporters' Trust. A posting by Matt CIFC on their forum (15th post down) suggests that they may well opt to drop a few divisions for next season, hence providing the now customary reprieve for side(s) in the Conference relegation zone.

Yep, virtually positive now that unless someone with as much money as Jeff comes in and is willing to do what Jeff has done for the last 14 years we will have to be voluntarily relegated from the Conference National.

However, the newly setup Supporters Trust feel that it's unlikely we'll be able to sustain ourselves currently in the Conference South despite what was being said about our Club's accounts last night.

That leaves the option of application to the lower leagues which could see us begin from the bottom again from either the Essex Senior League or it was hinted at Ryman 1 North.
